If all goes well in the Canadian parliament, Dominion gun owners will be freed from 14 years of living under the crushing weight of a bureaucratic, scandal-ridden, wasteful, invasive, $2 billion, error-ridden and inarguably worthless long gun registry. The registry has been proven a fraud in regard to promised minimal costs and significant impact on violent crime. |

When we were young, we all learned to look out for people who can't-or won't-lift themselves up through character, intelligence and hard work, but instead try to get what they want by tearing others down. |

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s increasingly public disagreements with
President Barack Obama are a reflection of something deeper: the
seething resentment some Democrats feel over what they see as cavalier

Often lost when we talk about the right to keep and bear arms is its prophylactic effect on freedom and our Republic. This is also a sensitive topic, as nothing else seems to bring out the extremists on both sides of the gun debate more than talking about how the right to arms ensures freedom. However, the right to arms to resist tyranny isn't just something last utilized in 1775 and whose effects are historical anachronism. I want to high¬light two often-overlooked modern incidents that remind us why the right to keep and bear arms protects our Republic. |

The hand-wringers at the Brady Campaign must have figured out what the rest of us have known for quite some time. Having been rendered all but entirely irrelevant, at least for the time being, the group is resorting to weird publicity stunts, in a vain attempt to again be taken seriously by its former not-so-secret admirers in the national anti-gun news media. |

I remember back in 1992 and 1993 when U.S. Rep. Major Owens, D-N.Y., tried to do away completely with our Right to Keep and Bear Arms. It goes without saying what I thought of Owens' goal. But, at least he didn't lie, or even try to trick anyone about what he was trying to accomplish. |
What Do Jesus, Rifle Scopes and Dead Terrorists Have in Common? Trijicon

| In the latest edition of political correctness gone wild, Mikey Weinstein and the Military Religious Freedom Foundation are droning on about scope manufacturer Trijicon putting Scripture references on their gun optics that our troops use to kill Muslim maniacs. They think a biblical citation will offend our opposition and be used as a recruiting tool for terrorist tools. |
Obama's Cross of Arugula

Commentary
| So today we got a glimpse of the new, populist Obama. He feels our pain. He will fight for us until his very last breath (even if he's fighting to pass policies the public doesn't like, apparently). He is going to get every dime of our money back from those evil banks on Wall Street (even though most have already paid back what they owe.) |
