Dragon Age: Origins is the first in a new franchise from role-playing powerhouse BioWare, and while its swords 'n' sorcery setting may, at first glance, appear to be the result of an especially fruitful attempt at robbing J.R.R. Tolkien's grave, don't let that fool you. Dragon Age may very well contain one of the finest, most compelling videogame worlds ever created. |

Magazines are one of the most important elements of any firearm design. They are responsible for the feeding portion of the cycle of operation. Even in the most proven arm that reliably extracts and ejects, the magazine has to be 100-percent reliable for it to consistently feed properly. Colt offered the semi-automatic-only SP1 AR-15 for commercial sale in 1963, the same year the U.S. Army adopted the selective-fire M16. Since that time, a variety of magazines have been made for AR-type rifles, and some are better than others. Due to the sheer number of manufacturers and variations, it is impossible to cover them all completely in these few pages, but here is a review of some of the best available today, including the specific characteristics and features that make them stand out. |

Although Savage Arms is best known for its value-priced, yet accurate and feature-filled Model 110-based hunting rifles, and more recently, its competition-ready Model 12 variants, since the early 1990s the company has offered tactical-oriented models in its law enforcement (LE) line. These rifles, however, are available for civilian sale. In 2009 the company unveiled its newest and most technologically advanced LE models to date: the 10 BAS-K and 10 BAT/S-K. The rifles represented not only Savage’s first venture into modular firearm construction, but also served as a means to a greater, more powerful, end. |
